Beth Wimmer - "Switzerlands Americana Songbird"

Born in New York and raised in rural Massachusetts, Beth Wimmer discovered her love for the music commonly referred to today as "Americana" at an early age. At the age of 18, the young artist moved to the vibrant musical melting pot of Southern California, where her talent and charisma were discovered and nurtured by respected musicians who have played with Jackson Browne, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt and Eric Burdon, among others.

Beth Wimmer has lived in Switzerland for sixteen years, where a one-month solo engagement in St. Moritz brought her.

Beth Wimmer's texts tell the story of her rich history. In her incomparably authentic and sensitive way, she gives the audience an insight into her dreams and observations of humanity with every song.

Mike Bishop

has been active in the Swiss music scene for years as a bassist, guitarist and producer and is now one of the most sought-after "sidemen" in the country. The list of artists he has accompanied with bass, guitar, his solid background vocals and above all with an instrument he developed himself (the "Bass'tarre", with which he can play bass and guitar at the same time) is long: Nina Dimitri, Pink Pedrazzi, Gustav, Marvin, Bettina Schelker and many more.

Now Beth Wimmer and Mike Bischof have also been together for some time, and this collaboration has it all: Beth Wimmer's dynamic songs and her warm, exceptional voice are given a unique boost of depth, expression and atmosphere by the chemistry and interplay between the two.
